| Bernie is a native of Nantucket and a decedent of the Coffin and Hussey families. He was educated at Norwich University and Springfield College. Bernie was an educator and administrator at Saint Edward's School, Vero Beach FL for 17 years. Bernie has been a Massachusetts Broker since 1976 and involved in the family real estate business, Coffin Real Estate and 'Sconset Real Estate. Bernie has been married to Carol since 1968 and they have two children, Abigail, married to Bob Donohoe living in DC and Peter married to Kelley, living in Saint Paul, MN. Bernie is treasurer of The Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers, and serves on The Nantucket Cottage Hospital board, The New School board and has been on the board of The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce. | Carol grew up in Garden City, Long Island, and was educated at Green Mountain College and Boston University. Carol has been married to Bernie since 1968 and they have two children, Abigail and Peter. Abigail is married to Bob Donahoe and they are they live in D.C. Peter is married to Kelley and they live in Saint Paul, MN. Carol has been a MA broker since 1978 and a Florida real estate agent since 1980 and does referrals, especially to Vero Beach, FL where they raised their children for 17 years. Carol and Bernie are the Owners/Brokers for Coffin Real Estate and 'Sconset Real Estate. Coffin Real Estate began in 1963 by Grace L. Coffin and 'Sconset Real Estate is the oldest real estate firm in Siasconset. Paula is a native of Bangor, Maine, and moved to Nantucket in 1969 with her husband Ken, who grew up on Nantucket. Paula is a graduate from the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. They raised their three children on the Island and have been actively involved throughout the years in all aspects of Nantucket living. Now they are enjoying watching their grandchildren participate in baseball, hockey, basketball, field hockey and lacrosse. Paula's husband, Ken, is retired from his electrical contracting business, and they are able to spend some time in Vero Beach, FL where they enjoy golf at Bent Pine Golf course, boating on the Indian River, travel, and theater. Paula obtained her real estate brokers license in 1976 and has been a Broker with the 'Sconset Real Estate office since that time. She has seen many changes over the year in real estate on Nantucket, but 'Sconset has retained its charm and history over the years. She does Rentals primarily in 'Sconset and Sales island wide. Nantucket is home and she enjoys the beauty of the Island and the relaxed pace of Island living. | Debbie is a native of Newport, New Hampshire part of the Lake Sunapee Region. Debbie and her husband, Jeff, moved to Nantucket in 1989 and Debbie began working for Coffin and 'Sconset Real Estate. Debbie became a Massachusetts sales agent in 1992 and has worked actively for 'Sconset Real Estate since that year. Debbie specializes in rentals in the Village of 'Sconset and surrounding areas; and sells real estate on the entire island. You can find her at the 'Sconset Office on a year round basis. She enjoys spending time with family. She takes pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow and thrive on the delightful island of Nantucket. | Nonie is a Massachusetts native and a resident of Nantucket since 1974. A graduate of Stonehill College and a Massachusetts broker since 1970, Nonie has taught the pre-licensing real estate course since 1990. She has two children on Nantucket; Jeremy is a graduate of University of Massachusetts and is a principal in the museum consulting firm BEVARA and Jo, a graduate of Syracuse University, is a math and science teacher at the Nantucket New School and the mother of Nonie's grandson Fin. Nonie is an avid birder, and enjoys knitting, fishing, reading and spending time with her children and grandson. She is a member of the Nantucket Rotary Club and holds an elected position as a Commissioner of the Wannacomet Water Company. | Barbara, a native of Dublin, Ireland settled on the island in 1991. Barbara worked as a basket weaver at Nantucket Basketworks for 7 years before returning to College in 1998 to study jewelry making and design as a goldsmith. Barbara opened and ran her own jewelry store, Foolsgold from 2001 to 2004. Jewelry remains a passionate hobby as Barbara discovered and entered the Real Estate business on Nantucket in 2004. She is the mother of three boys and married to Carl Clarke of Clarke Bros. Construction. Other endeavors include co-founding, with her sister in law, Bess Clarke, the Cold Turkey Plunge, a hugely popular Thanksgiving swim. They have, so far, raised over $400,000 for the Weezie Library for Children. Barbara is also an active board member of the Friends of Nantucket Public Schools. This is where he met his wife Jill, a High School Spanish teacher on Nantucket. They are together raising their son Daniel who loves the game of baseball.
